Traveling isn’t for the faint of heart. You may come across some weird situations when you’re traveling and it’s important you’re prepared for these situations. #1. Utilize Baggies
If you have any items you think might leak, while you’re traveling, put them in a baggie. That one moment you think they won’t leak, they will. So just stay prepared.
#2. Carry an Extra Phone
You might lose your phone when you’re traveling, so make sure you carry an extra with you. You can buy a cheapo phone from a place like Wal-Mart.
#3. Put Your Wallet in a Safe Place
Don’t put your wallet in your back pocket. Try and put it somewhere a little safe. If you can also split up your valuables in different places, do it. This will be helpful in case you lose your wallet or get something stolen, you’ll be covered.
#4. Don’t Give to Beggars
If you can avoid it, try and not give to beggars in a strange town. You’re not sure what they want and you don’t want to get yourself in trouble. Try to keep your head forward and your valuables close. This sounds crazy, but it’s for your own protection.
#5. Have Some Patience
If you plan on traveling in the near future, you should try and have some patience. Not everything is going to go your way, so just try to have some patience along the way.
#6. Make Sure You Back It Up
Back all of your pictures, documents, and everything else you can up before you leave on a travel excursion. You never know what could happen while you’re out traveling, so just make sure you’re prepared.
#7. Don’t be Afraid to Spend
You can get all caught up in “not spending money” while you’re out traveling and it can get stressful. Don’t be afraid to spend a little money while you’re on vacation.
#8. Stay Aware of Customs
There are customs no matter where you go, so make sure you’re aware of the customs wherever you’re headed. You can do a little research to make sure you’re not going to break any major laws.
#9. Pack Some Ear Plugs
You really don’t know what you’re going to come in contact with while you’re traveling, so pack a pair of ear plugs. You might run into a few toddlers on an airplane or while you’re trying to “study” at a Starbucks. Your hotel might be next to a busy street, I’m telling you ear plugs are where it’s at.
#10. Go with the Flow
Don’t try to plan too much when you’re on vacation. Make sure you relax and go with the flow a little bit. Adding too much stress to your travel endeavors can make your life a lot more difficult.
