Whether you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World or simply want to enjoy a getaway near one of the most lively places in Orlando, the Wyndham Garden Resort is a great resort in Disney Springs. During a recent retreat that I attended, the Wyndham Garden Resort hosted us and I was able to get a first-hand sneak peek at the current renovations.
Great Resort in Disney Springs
There are enough things to do in Disney Springs to stay busy for days and the Wyndham Garden Resort is just a short walk across the pathway. Being located across the street from Disney Springs – an entertainment, shopping, and dining district with more than 150 venues makes this a prime spot to stay when visiting Lake Buena Vista. Being only 17 miles from Orlando International Airport and less than two miles to Disney theme parks makes convenience push Wyndham Garden Resort towards the top of the list.
Beyond being close to everything you could possibly need, Wyndham offers a full-service resort that makes their guests not even want to leave. Located on 13 lake-front acres, the views are gorgeous in all directions. In their tower rooms you can overlook Walt Disney World and from their soon-to-be-remodeled garden rooms you get a gorgeous view of the pool.
Their recreational facilities are perfect for all ages. The Oasis Aquatic Pool Playground consists of two pools, an interactive water play area, a large hot tub, pool deck to sunbathe and cabanas for the perfect amount of shade. You will also find two lighted tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, a game room, and a fitness center. They offer complimentary wifi in their lobby, where you can relax in lounge chairs and on couches.
They even have a Director of Fun on staff to help keep the kids busy with family-friendly activities in their Kids Corner.
Another great perk of the Wyndham Garden is they offer their very own Disney character breakfast. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings you can dine in their LakeView Restaurant while Disney characters come to your table to visit and pose for photos. During our stay, we had the pleasure of eating Mickey Waffles while visiting with Goofy and Pluto. He spent so much time interacting with each guest that it made the experience feel personalized.
This was a great resort in Disney Springs for our event. They have 21 meeting and event rooms, with a seating capacity of up to 1,200 in one room for a convention. Their ballroom is 12,000 square feet, making it perfect for a Disney wedding.
The resort remodel is scheduled to be completed within the next year. The newly remodeled rooms are beautiful. From double beds to king-size rooms, they each offer all the amenities you could want. They are very modern with a bright fresh aesthetic.
There is time to book your stay and visit Epcot Food and Wine Festival this fall.
