This post is brought to you by Altitude H2O.
This summer our family took a day trip to Grapevine Lake in Grapevine, Texas to visit Altitude H2O – the inflatable water park. This trampoline park is floating in the middle of the lake and is an absolute blast to climb and jump on.
When you arrive for your play session at Altitude H2O, you are given a life jacket that you are required to wear – regardless of age. After a quick safety briefing, you are cleared to swim out to enjoy your time on the wibit inflatables.
You are allowed to wear water shoes and I highly recommend them. Half of our family wore them and the other half went barefoot. Those that did not have on water shoes were slipping off the inflatables. Some of the obstacles were not easy to climb while wet. The water shoes gave us enough grip to enjoy the fun even more. However, the kids without water shoes were resilient and kept bouncing back up.
Have you ever jumped on a trampoline in the water? Climbing on this inflatable water park was a test of balance and endurance. I was exhausted after playing, climbing, and jumping for 45 minutes.
We shared so many laughs and constantly challenge one another to race across the inflatables. It was not always easy but it was always fun.
I even faced my fear of heights and climbed up the rope course to jump off into the lake. There was never a worry about falling off of the inflatables because at each section there are steps to climb back up easily. There are several lifeguards watching and ready to help if needed.
Purchase your tickets for Altitude H2O to enjoy some family fun before the summer ends. We participated in one session lasting 45 minutes but for an extra $10 you can get a second session.
The kids could have played all day, whereas one session was enough for me. If you get tired and want to just watch your tweens or teens enjoy the water park, they offer lounge chairs under umbrellas to relax and have a picnic. There is also a swimming beach area to make it a full day at the lake.
