On my sixth birthday, I got to sail away on the Disney Cruise Line Magic cruise ship. Celebrating my birthday alongside some of my favorite Disney characters was a priceless memory. That very first cruise is what started my love for them and to this day I have now been on four Disney Cruise Line cruises. The great thing about a Disney Cruise is that they have activities available for all ages.
Disney has announced that they will be adding a seventh ship to the cruise line. The ship is scheduled to be complete in 2022. This is an add-on to the two ships they announced last year, which will be completed in 2021 and 2023. All ship names, design plans, and itineraries are still in development, with each of the ships expected to have their own unique experiences. The three new ships will weigh around 135,000 gross tons each and have 1,250 guest staterooms making them slightly bigger than the newest Disney Cruise Line ships.
Since first setting sail in 1998, Disney Cruise Line has provided a quintessential family cruise vacation experience that combines the magic of Disney with the wonder of exploring different parts of the world. Guests step aboard majestic and beautiful ocean liners to enjoy legendary Disney entertainment, exquisite dining, spacious and well-appointed staterooms and magnificent public spaces.
With a legacy of revolutionary design, Disney Cruise Line’s new ships will be in the next generation of innovative cruise experiences. Designed especially for families that will transform the art-of-cruising and take guests on adventures in a way never dreamed of before.
