We love to go camping as a family. In Texas, during the summer it is so hot that it is miserable to go camping. The best time to have a campout is during the fall season. We camp often enough that we have several totes that we keep packed and ready for a weekend getaway. From tents and sleeping bags to camping grills and hiking supplies, here is a list of our must-have camping essentials for fall.

We often visit Texas State Parks when going camping. One favorite State Park so far has been Palo Duro Canyon. Such beautiful hiking trails, caves to explore and stars that light up the sky.
