Any place where you can take an evening gondola ride in Arizona is worth checking out. Located in posh Gainey Ranch—a verdant part of Scottsdale known for its hundreds of palm trees—the Hyatt Regency exudes a comfortable, Southwestern elegance with the backdrop of the majestic McDowell Mountains and the Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture.Although guest rooms are spacious and chic with flat-screen TVs and private patios or balconies, it’s the pools that make this resort the destination of choice in Scottsdale. Numerous and varied, the Hyatt Regency’s swim spots cater to visitors of every age: One has a sandy beach, some have cascading waterfalls, others are adults-only.If you’d rather stay dry, opt for a gondola ride along the waterways. Though it may take some coaxing to lure yourself away from the pool, I HIGHLY recommend indulging in a massage at the Spa Avania. It was hard to get me to leave this state-of-the-art spa facility.Overall, the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch is a nice resort with amazing facilities for all ages to enjoy.
