When most people think about Disney World, they see dollar signs! And while Disney World can be an expensive destination, the truth is you can find some freebies along the way. Look below at our list of 6 of the best freebies at Disney World, and see how these freebies can help you stretch your Disney World budget!
Free Pin Trading
If you love Disney lanyard pins, you can enjoy free pin trading with all Disney cast members. You can get cheap Disney pins on eBay, and then trade for other pins for free when you see Disney Cast Members. This can be a fun and free activity to enjoy while you wait in line for rides.
Free Ice Water
While you have to pay for bottled water, many of the restaurants will give you free cups of ice water. You can also find free ice water at Liberty Tavern. Just ask a cast member about complimentary water or slip into the waiting area at Liberty Tavern and help yourself. Bring your own refillable water bottle and carry with you all day.
Birthday Swag
The cast members at Disney love birthdays, so don’t be shy! If you are celebrating a birthday, ask a cast member for your free birthday pin! They may also have pins to celebrate weddings and anniversaries. Just ask and see what selection they have available!
Park Maps
Not only are the colorful Disney World park maps free for the taking AND practical, but you can use them in your scrapbooking and other keepsake projects! Add them to your souvenirs so you can remember the layout of the park and the rides that were popular at the time of your visit. Other park pamphlets while you are there may be fun to collect as well and can be used in photo albums and scrapbooks.
First Aid Items
Don’t hesitate to go to the first aid stations if you need band aids or any other common first aid supplies. They are happy to help you out at no charge and will get you back up and running in no time. If you need to nurse or just take a rest, the first aid station will welcome you in with open arms.
Sorcerors of the Magic Kingdom
Head to the Disney Fire House and get a FREE Mickey Collecting Card Kit. This kit is actually a scavenger hunt type game that helps you get to know the park better while collecting cards. It is fun to play, and ideal for any family that is spending the whole day at the park. We usually do a game on each trip, and we have received quite the collection of cards! They will hand out special edition cards at the holiday celebrations (Very Merry Christmas Party, for example), and we have met other families who are playing when we visit too. Sometimes they will trade with my son or just offer up their duplicates. It’s a blast!
Free Photos
While Disney won’t give you Photo Pass photos for free, the professional photographers at Disney WILL take your photo with your own camera. This gives you a professionally shot photo on your own camera at no cost! Don’t be shy, they won’t say no if you ask them and they are happy to do it.
Sample Soda at Epcot
Don’t miss the Coca-Cola area near Starbucks on your right hand side when you walk in. This is where you ca taste the infamous Beverly soda. I’m into the Pineapple Fanta, and I stop here on each trip!
Play app
While you wait in line, download the free Play app. This is a Disney app that lets you earn points and badges for visiting various areas throughout the parks. You can play against each other (for example while in the queue at Toy Story Mania) or take photos to earn points on other attractions. There’s also play lists so you can relive the Disney magic at home and trivia games too.
Kidcot at Epcot
Visit each Kidcot station in the World Showcase to get a sticker and a card specific to each country signed! Once you have visited all the stops, you get a bonus postcard.
While the cost of a Disney World vacation can add up fast, there are freebies to enjoy. Consider these Disney World freebies on your next visit and see how fun free can be.

This is a wonderful post. I’ve visited Disney now twice as an adult and knew a few of these things, I was surprised by the collector’s cards at the FireHouse and the soda at Epcot. That is really cool! Thanks for the great post!
