Sesame Street Party Parade Comes to SeaWorld San Antonio

The bright, playful summer colors will hold your child’s attention. Along with the beautiful floats, you’ll hear contemporary tunes including Sesame Street favorites.

There are more than the Sesame Street characters in costumes along the parade route. You’ll also see many workers in costumes dancing along to the music. They smiled and engaged with the crowd which was exciting for kids.

Along the parade route, there are two show-stopping performances. The Sesame Street characters walk off of their designated parade float and dance. All guests must stay behind the white line to avoid any injuries when the floats are moving but the characters will come right up close for you to see. Plus, they encourage kids to dance along to the music from their spot.

I think Oscar’s float was my favorite. It fit him so well!

Our viewing area was right in front of the stage in Sesame Street Bay of Play at SeaWorld. The parade ends at this location. I recommend standing a little closer to the beginning of the parade if possible. Check with a SeaWorld worker to find the best spot. Although we had a great view, as you can see from our photos, the characters got off their floats to dance and never got back on. So the last two floats we didn’t see in action.

I loved seeing all the amazing details on the floats and how well they were themed to match their Sesame Street character. I believe all the little kids enjoyed this as well. But probably the best part was when they got down to dance and have fun with the crowd.

The Sesame Street characters have some moves! I know they were extremely hot in costume during the summer in San Antonio but that didn’t hold them back. They never missed a beat during the entire song.

Sesame Street Dinner

If your kids are a big fan of Sesame Street and the parade is just not close enough, then you must schedule the Sesame Street Dinner. This special meet and greet with your favorite Sesame Street characters takes place at Rosita’s Café, near Sesame Street Bay of Play area.

The dinner is a buffet with a wide variety of food options. I will say the food was much better than your regular amusement park offering. They had food for all dietary needs. Being gluten-free that is always a worry of mine. I was able to eat mashed potatoes, sliced turkey breast, grilled parmesan chicken and much more. It was really good after a long hot day at the park. The kids had a large pizza buffet to select from with many toppings, even dessert pizza.
